Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television presenter in the US and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark spikey blonde hair and pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces the fear of eating at restaurants on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell studied and worked at the top New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. Following her graduation with an English and Communication diploma from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the industry of restaurants by registering in The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. It was impossible to take enough enjoyment from the experience. Following graduation, Chef Burrell lived in Italy for a whole year studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) in Tuscany. In Italy, Chef Burrell gained an appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary traditions. It had a significant effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of children who face challenges. Burrell is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. She has been a frequent presenter at conferences, and she travels throughout the United States as part of her mentorship role. Anne often has mentioned throughout her professional career she's grateful to have the opportunity to communicate with people what is truly important to her.
