Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in his signature style. The singer's career has taken her across Broadway to European festivals and clubs and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has the name Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing the piano in the church. She attended Spellman College and began to learn the R&B styles of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice,"Stalk You the House came out only in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and has become a staple in her live performance. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005 she took on the role of the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as Choral Director of Dreamgirls the stage show of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention in the performances that took place over four days of The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine went on to sing at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
